EFFECTS OF HCL ON HUMAN LIFE
✨ Hydrogen Chloride (HCl) is a colorless, toxic, highly corrosive gas that forms white smoke on contact with moisture.
💥 When humans are exposed to HCl, it will affect the lungs, skin, and paralyze the functions of the central nervous system. In addition, it also affects the respiratory and digestive systems. Some effects of HCL on human health:
❌ Exposure to a large amount of HCl vapor can cause: Intoxication, gastritis, chronic bronchitis, skin inflammation and visual impairment.
❌ Partial contact with HCl: Will cause burns, swelling, and hematoma. Severe cases can cause the lungs to become watery.
❌ Long-term inhalation of HCl: Will cause hoarseness, burning and ulceration of the respiratory tract, chest pain and lung allergy.
❌ Exposure to high concentrations of HCl: Causes vomiting, lung allergy, fatal poisoning. HCl when in contact with water will form hydrochloric acid (HCl) which is highly corrosive. Skin contact with HCl can cause redness and eye contact can cause blindness.
🚨 HCL is an extremely dangerous gas, so when you work in an environment which potentially containing this gas, you should be equipped with the necessary protective equipment, especially gas detectors to help detect HCL leakages in a timely manner.
